Estranged Lyrics
Crashlanding
You are a danger, the greatest one of all
And I go against the grain, invisible as I fall
Love you till the night breaks dawn
Make a mark on my calendar
Love you till I’m overdone
Leave a mark to remember
I chip away, I chip away with every move I’m making
I chip away but I still want you just the same
Engulfed in a crash course, we reverberate
Let me quicken your heartbeat, with each plunge I’ll strip away
Love you for your flesh and blood
Make a mark on my calendar
Love you till I’m overdone
Leave a mark to remember
I chip away, I chip away with every move I’m making
I chip away but I still want you just the same
Crashlanding, crashlanding, what have I done
Love you till the night breaks dawn
Make a mark on my calendar
Love you till I’m overdone
Leave a mark to remember
I chip away, I chip away with every move I’m making
I chip away but I still want you just the same
I chip away, I chip away with every move I’m making
I chip away but every move I make will bring you back the same
Crashlanding, crashlanding

Walking On Water
My weakness is sleeping
It’s dreaming my nightmares for me
I’m sinking inside you
Expanding your cavity
I’m walking on water and I’m drowning the mirages I’ve made
I’m walking on water and I’m ripping off the camouflage
Confusion surrounds me
It’s fertilizing the debauchery
As you’re chewing up the delusions that incinerate my diversions
I’m walking on water and I’m drowning the mirages I’ve made
I’m walking on water and I’m ripping off the camouflage
When we’re deserted in exile
Abandoned together from the rest of the world
We’ll be walking on water
Dragging our souls from the ground
I’m walking on water and I’m drowning the mirages I’ve made
I’m walking on water and I’m ripping off the camouflage

Shade of Gray
Choking on a fever from the pages that I’m holding
Sanding down the past for the place where I’m going
I wake up, walking the fine line
Tight rope footing, shimmy up the time line
Running down the stairs, busting at the seams
Piling up the piles of the dated pipe dreams
Shove ‘em in my chest like a hole that’s drilling
And this time there won’t be a next time
Don’t see no black or white cuz everything these days is a shade of gray
Got my alibis and I know just how to find my way
I’m starting over cuz I have gone and read between the lines
I’m starting over and there’s a full throttle burning like the look in my eyes
Blasting myself to the smithereens
I’m breaking down the piles of the dated pipe dreams
Crossed the fine line in the wake of a lifetime
Busting through the space between the savaged and the civilized
My tightrope footing is drilled and done
Skipping like a record that’s over spun
Everything’s a shade of gray
And this time I’m living in the lines
Don’t see no black or white cuz everything these days is a shade of gray
Got my alibis and I know just how to find my way
I’m starting over cuz I have gone and read between the lines
I’m starting over and there’s a full throttle burning like the look in my eyes
Don’t see no black or white
Cuz everything’s a shade of gray
Don’t see no black or white
These days are a shade of gray
Don’t see no black or white
Cuz everything’s a shade of gray these days
These days are a shade of gray

Not Quite Like a Disaster
I got nothing to lose and nothing to prove so why don’t you mosey over my way
I’ve got my body on the double and I’m working under cover
I think you know how much trouble we could make
Not quite like a disaster
Nothing like I ever have seen before
Not quite like a disaster
And you’re rationing my catastrophes away
You’re a curious tortured soul
The way your eyes gleam like lost gold
Gets me all revved up inside
I’ve been working under cover and I’m looking for some trouble and I’ll gladly withhold my delight
Not quite like a disaster
Nothing like I ever have seen before
Not quite like a disaster
And you’re rationing my catastrophes away
Take them on the flatbed
Twist them up inside your head
Roll them along on the red carpet
And spit them back out at me
Not quite like a disaster
Nothing like I ever have seen before
Not quite like a disaster
And you’re rationing my catastrophes away
I’ve got nothing to lose and nothing to prove so if you won’t mosey then get the hell out of my way
I’ve got my body on the double and I’m looking for some trouble but I think I’ve had all I can take
Not quite like a disaster
Nothing like I ever have seen before
quite like a disaster
And you’re rationing my catastrophes away
Picking out my disaster
Picking up my disaster

Estranged
Never thought I’d find myself on the verge of a new rendition
I was standing at the edge of the world stitching up the bruises of a fallen empire
So I jumped out the window to save myself from the smoke and the flames
Pushing on through the glass ceiling as it shatters and shrivels
I’m estranged, I’m a stranger
Never knew I’d find myself stepping off the edge without my hesitation
Heading for nowhere and I’m following my alienation
Chasing a shapeless void that’s eating up my world with a frightening triumph
Stitching my cocoon and now it’s closing like the walls of a trash compactor
I’m estranged, I’m a stranger
I’m estranged, I’m a stranger
I got four walls of fiction in my cage
Closing my cocoon till I’m smothered by the smoke and flames
Heading for nowhere and I’m following my alienation
Stitching my cocoon, strangling my new rendition
I’m estranged, I’m a stranger
I’m estranged, I’m a stranger
I’m a stranger but I’m home inside my alienation
Cut myself in half to find the other me

Counting Stars
When it’s safe to go outside
I’ll go catch a breath of air
Pack my head in a suitcase and make for solid ground
I won’t need a lifeboat to wash ashore
Counting stars on the edge
Get to know them like the back of my hand
Shred my fingers through the cracks in the glass
Keeps me lucid at the end of the dawn
When it’s safe to come up for air
I’ll submerge my feet below
Hunt the volcanoes down and boil the ocean floor
From the top of the moon
Counting stars on the edge
Get to know them like the back of my hand
Shred my fingers through the cracks in the glass
Keeps me lucid at the end of the dawn
When it’s time to cut my tongue off
I’ll pour my mind in paper for a thousand centuries
Give myself a clean shave and waltz into a time zone
Walking round and round the galaxy
Counting stars on the edge
Get to know them like the back of my hand
Shred my fingers through the cracks in the glass
Keeps me lucid at the end of the dawn

Shepherd in a Wolf’s Skin
I’m taking the pieces of the picture
And I’m putting them back together the way I like
I’m breaking the pieces from the puzzle
And I’ll rearrange them back the way I like
I’m a shepherd in a wolf’s skin
Naked somewhere in the emptiness
I’ve been poisoned by the antidote
And I’m not cozy with what’s goin’ on
There’s a spring trap hiding under my feet
Circling closer with the sharks teeth
Tugging harder at my roots again
And there’s fire rolling up my sleeves
I’m taking the pieces of the picture
And I’m putting them back together the way I like
I’m breaking the pieces from the puzzle
And I’ll rearrange them back the way I like
So segregate my innocence
And reinstate my ignorance
There must be something sacred beyond the sanitized
I’m a shepherd in a wolf’s skin
Naked somewhere in the emptiness
I’ve been poisoned by the antidote
And I’m not cozy with what’s goin’ on
There’s a spring trap hiding under my feet
Circling closer with the sharks teeth
Tugging harder at my roots again
And there’s fire rolling up my sleeves

Breaking Away
I don’t know what became before me
I only know what lies ahead
And even though I can’t see round the corner
I know just what and where I am
I only got one in a million
And that’s amidst a whole lot of nothing
I wouldn’t trade to make a killing
I want to know just how I stand
So I’m breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
I gotta know if I’m made of something
I’m breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
I gotta know just how I stand
I’m breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
I gotta know if I’m made of something
Breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
I gotta know just how I stand
You only got one in a million
Don’t let them trade you in for nothing
They’ll try to make you do some vicious killing
They’ll try to tell you you’re a dime a dozen
You’ll never know what came before you
You’ll only know what’s coming next
And if you try and try to make yourself from nothing
You’ll know just where and how you stand
You’ll be breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
You’re gonna know if you’re made of something
Breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
You’re gonna know just how you standing
Breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
You’re gonna know if you’re made of something
Breaking away from a whole lot of nothing
You’re gonna know just how you stand

Eye of the Storm
Walking miles with two left feet
Hang my bones on what I eat
Times keep changing with each step I’m taking
Soil keeps flooding with the moves I’m making
I’m digging a grave for all the yesterdays I spent with my favorite ghost
I’m flooding the soil just like a tidal wave
I’m heading for the eye of the storm
Cross my heart and hope to die
Hang my bones on a hook in the sky
Living through a moving window
I can finally see as clear as crystal
I’m digging a grave for all the yesterdays I spent with my favorite ghost
I’m flooding the soil just like a tidal wave
I’m heading for the eye of the storm
It’s too late to go to sleep
I’m haunted by my waking dreams
Living through a moving window
Driving my will to the next crescendo
I’m digging a grave for all the yesterdays I spent with my favorite ghost
I’m flooding the soil just like a tidal wave
I’m heading for the eye of the storm
I’m heading for the eye of the storm
